Cave Blogem, (Milord Sir Lord Cave the Naive of Piddletrenthide on the Carpet), is the nom de blog of someone who still is not certain he wants his real name out there in the blogosphere for everyone to see (yeah, he isn’t sure about anything else, either).   He is, as he has already revealed in this blog, in his early mid-40s, male, married with an eight nine twelve-year-old son, and lives in Lowell, Massachusetts, the rural part of Lowell. After many many years of attempting to find his true calling he was not as surprised as everyone else to find it in database administration.

He has another blog which sometimes shows low-resolution pictures that he takes and sends via his camera phone and hasn’t been updated in so long that he doesn’t even remember how to do it.  It may be found here, or not.

Hey Cave!
I don’t know what you’ll want to do about this, if anything, but this site showed up this afternoon in Growing Blogs and I thought (because of the title) that it was yours.

Thanks for blogrolling me. I look forward to reading more of your blog once I get Internet chez raincoaster once again.

Thanks for dropping by. I just tried out the gematriculator site that you pointed to on your blog, by way of Wandering Coyote. It turns out that my site is slightly more evil than yours. I found this a little suprising, no offense intended (Yours looks so much more evil. And my avatar is a cute little puppy. Is this Gertrude Himmlefarb’s banality of evil thing or is it more like the whole Father of Lies thing?)

More suprising still was that when I checked my most recent post, it checked out as 72% evil. The road to hell is paved with good intentions, I guess.

Oh, wow, this is a very good blog. Sort of like a hearty steak you can’t wait to sink your teeth into. I could totally get baked and read this all night long. Unfortunately, I’m not wearing my glasses right now so I’m going to have to wait until I get on my laptop, snuggle under the covers, then fly back here on the magic carpet.

But first I need a new laptop cord. That would help. In any event, I look forward to reading more.

Speaking of steak, I think I’ll go have one now.

PS I’ve added your link.

Thanks, Stiletto Girl, that’s flattering. Yours is one of the blogs to which I keep returning. Steak sounds good right now too, although I have none in the house.

Hey there:

Thanks again for linking to Reading is my Superpower (and for all of your comments over on my blog). If you have the time, would you be able to change the link to http://superfastreader.com? I recently moved to my own hosting, and dropped the “wordpress.”

Cheers & happy reading!

Hello Steve! Dayngr tagged me for your fascinating word project, but I’m not sure how to participate.

This is my blog: Sex and the Beach.

Thank you!

Your blog is actually quite fascinating. I came here via your study on the 150 things meme, in which my blog post was included.

I’ve bookmarked your site and will check back periodically.

Hi Dane,

I have been going through your blog lately and I like it.

I am writing this e-mail just to brief you on a project me and two of my best friends are currently undertaking in the field of amateur writing. We are about to launch a site (www.endofthisworld.com) which is about writing up a story by the users themselves. We will provide only the first and final chapter of the story, which as the domain name suggests will end up with the destruction of the world, and we will leave the rest to be written by the users.

Our scope is to gather as many people as possible and have them contributing their ideas for each chapter of the story as it evolves towards the very final chapter of it. Overall they will be 25 chapters so taking out the 2 contributed by us we have 23 remaining to be written by the users. Each user will have the rights to write up his own chapter and then when we gather a good enough number of contributions we can proceed to the next phase which is voting which contribution is the best to be part of the actual story. For the chapters selected the users that have written them will share any rights applicable to them if by any chance this story is commercially exploitable at the end of the 25 chapters.

We will be very happy if you join our project and also if you spread the word around to any people you might know either over the Internet or in real life that might be interested in participating in something like this.

We really liked your blog and we hope all the best with it.

Kind regards,

Have a nice day !

I think I knew you, once, long ago. I was mean, I was young and I am sorry.

That is all

Oh wait, your writing is quite entertaining, thanks.

It’s possible that we knew each other. I lived in SF at one time, long ago. I was young and mean once, too. I forgive you for whatever it was you think you did to me.

Don’t worry about it. Hope everyone to whom I was mean forgives me, as well, because I’m sorry, too. But I’ll understand if they don’t.

And thanks for the kind comment.
