Chapter VI is out of the way November 12, 2006

I really, really, really wanted to get past the halfway point today, and get a little slack for the Thanksgiving holiday. So I wrote big, ugly, slow, chapter VI in its entirety today. Weighing in at 3749 words, it is the slowest-paced of all the chapters so far. I thought that a pause was needed in this weird tale, something to go between bizarre revelations and creepy character introductions to add verisimilitude. Does it work? I don’t know, but if I got paid by the word today would have been a good day indeed.
