No real content today. But I feel like I should post something here just to get the ball rolling, so I offer an observation: I think that people are missing the real story in tumultuous media frenzy surrounding the Tour de France doping scandal, and that is how this guy got the name “Floyd.” It is such a retro name for a guy his age–Floyd Landis. I guess it is pretty distinctive and all, but . . . I should say that I don’t have anything against the name. It is a nice name. But it tends to make you think of the barber in the Andy Griffith Show. So, all of you newshounds out there, feel free to follow up on this.
